Text Box: Grass, trees and all plants require a certain nutrient balance to be present in the soil for healthy, sustained growth. Adding the right fertilizer at the right time ensures that balance. Fertilization is much more than adding chemical and water to the soil; as the fertilizer must not harm the soil ecosystem, which is absolutely necessary for plant health. A common myth is that applying fertilizer means that you will have to mow your lawn with greater frequency; not so. A healthy fertilized plant or lawn will require less water, will withstand drought, heat, cold and will produce in abundance. Fertilizers come in many forms, but they fall into two general classes. The first is fertilizer that is chemical; the nitrogen, phosphorous and potash (potassium) are all synthesized chemicals generally produced from natural gas. These are either fast acting (liquid) or slow release (granular). These are very effective forms of fertilizer but can harm the soil when used in excess.   Organic fertilizer is any fertilizer that has been produced naturally; such as compost, manure or any of a variety of fish based products. These fertilizers offer lower N-P-K (nitrogen, phosphorous, potash or potassium) numbers and they may take longer to work but they are much more beneficial to the soil ecosystem as they promote beneficial microbe growth in the soil as well as increasing the level of antioxidants in your plants. These organic based fertilizers are very effective at rebuilding tired or depleted soil.   We offer both chemical and organic products as part of our fertilizer application service.   AgGrand® Natural Organic Fertilizer products can be applied in a variety of ways; foliar applications, soil applications and deep root applications.
